South Coast Events worked with New Milton Town Council to produce a fun packed weekend event called Be Involved. We love working on these kinds of events as there is lots of freedom with outside space and lots of possibilities!

The event took place on New Milton’s recreation ground, in the performance pavilion and in the memorial centre. Outside there was an arena with dance performances, a circuits session and Zumba with Karina, which lots of people joined in with and had lots of fun. There was also have-a-go activities with groups such as The Creation Station and demos from The Friendly Dog Club. See the full list of exhibitors and performances on the Be Involved website.

In the memorial hall there were lots of community organisations and clubs which visitors could join and find out more about. A little bit of rain meant one of the demonstrations took place inside too but everyone was flexible (in more ways than one) and enjoyed the day!

In the performance pavilion, there was a variety of musical entertainment over the weekend. Ukulele bands, acoustic solos, local bands and singers. They all drew in crowds to listen to their talent.

New Milton is a market town with a thriving community as well as lots of opportunities to “Be Involved”. If anyone in the area is looking to take up a new hobby, wanting to volunteer or get active, there is certainly something available for everyone!

We very much enjoyed working with New Milton Town Council as well as the community groups on this great event. Here is a lovely testimonial we received;
“On 16th and 17th September, we held our much anticipated Be Involved weekend festival and South Coast Events were a huge asset during the planning process and the event weekend itself. They thought of details that would have otherwise been overlooked and managed the legal requirements, risk assessments and many other tasks that come with an event of this scale.
The event ran very smoothly, in no small part due to South Coast Events, who coordinated 50 community groups prior to and during the event weekend.
Their positive can-do attitude was reassuring and we hope to be able to work with them again on the next event!”
