In September 2016, we had so much fun organising a private festival party for a couple in Branksome, Dorset. The day before the event, Kim & Matt had tied the knot, planned by our sister company, South Coast Weddings. See the wedding blog HERE!

Guests were welcomed to Kim & Matt’s garden in Branksome, Dorset, to a whole host of activities to enjoy. We were really lucky with the weather, only having a quick shower before the festivities began. And although it chilled off in the evening, we provided blankets and a fire pit to keep guests warm!

As the majority of the guests had been at the couple’s wedding the previous day, we figured there would be a few sore heads, so arranged for some massage therapists to attend the event to ease people in gently with some relaxation.

Any festival is not complete without a bar. Welcome drinks were ready and waiting for guests and then as the day went on, there was ale on tap, beer, spirits, wine and Prosecco available. The vibe for the day was chilled!

Kim & Matt had lots of games in their garage/games room, so these were utlised for the event with people’s competitive spirits coming out with Foosball!

Matt had constructed a slip n slide on a slope in their garden. As you can imagine, this was a big hit with the kids and big kids (men!)

Guests enjoyed chicken wraps from the Chicken & Blues van with either fries or sweet potato fries – delicious!
Guests enjoyed a bouncy castle and bucking bronco throughout the day. You can’t go wrong with inflatables!

Throughout the day, there was lots of snacks for guests to enjoy. Nuts, sweets, biscuit and shortbread kept hunger at bay.

As the day went on and people started to wake up, The Jimmy Hillbillies arrived to get people up and on their feet. Everyone really got into it with conga lines, instruments and costumes involved!

The evening ended with a silent disco. There were two DJ’s so people could choose between two styles of music. It definitely makes for interesting watching!
