This past weekend we had the pleasure of exhibiting Longthorns at The BIC Wedding Show and officially launching their weddings! With their newly acquired wedding ceremony license, this Dorset farm venue can now host couples and their guests for one day or the whole weekend!
This unique and exclusive wedding venue, located next door to Monkey World, has everything you need for a festival style wedding – a marquee, glamping accommodation, lots of outdoor space and fire pits – although, if festival weddings aren’t your thing, you can enjoy the converted dairy parlour and fully furnished marquee.
Longthorns started out as an alpaca farm and campsite, but as the beautiful venue on the Jurassic Coast developed, so did the idea to host couple’s special days.
Couples can enjoy their Dorset wedding ceremony in the beautifully converted dairy parlour, or outside under the pagoda, with views of the surrounding countryside. Guests can then enjoy refreshing drinks while enjoying the open space and outside games at Longthorns, or walking the cute alpacas – definitely a great option if you have children attending the wedding!
An added bonus of lovely Longthorns, located between Poole and Dorchester, near Bere Regis, is that they are eco-friendly and green wherever possible. The exterior of their new toilet and shower block is made from recycled plastic coast hangers and the inside from recycled plastic that has been made into waterproof boarding. There are many other eco-friendly features around the farm, which will make you fall in love with it even more!
It’s important when you’re planning your wedding that you have as much choice as possible. That’s why, at Longthorns, you can choose your own wedding caterers. This means that you can enjoy your special day exactly as you’d like it.
In the evening, you and your guests can dance the night away in the beautifully lined marquee, enjoy the bar in the dairy parlour and the outdoor fire pit and marshmallow toasting on the patio.
