Owen and Carla are a husband and wife team who started Coastal Tents after having so much fun organising their own festival themed Tipi wedding in Dorset. They fell in love with the Tipis so much that they decided to leave London and to move to the seaside to set up an alternative marquee hire company. Coastal Tents are the only Dorset based supplier of authentic Tipis.

The Giant Tipis (also known as Teepees, Katas or Giant Hats) are Nordic in origin. They are absolutely gorgeous structures – natural timber poles, neutral coloured canvas and soaring 7m ceilings at the peak combine to create a real “WOW” factor! They are versatile and weather proof so can used at anytime of year. A unique aspect of the Tipis is their ability to house an open fireplace, which makes them great for winter weddings. Open fires create a welcoming ambiance, add warmth and provide a gathering point for people at events.
